Try to push snow and always downhill.
When the shovel is full, hop into the clean channel for the rest of the journey to the dump site.
If the snow is heavy I do the part closest to the pile first and then further back.
A lightweight shovel using small scoops is the easiest way to lift onto the pile.
Always push whenever possible and only what is viable. Conditions vary.
Once you break it up into a pattern it gets easier.
