Its a standard 13 or 14mm deep socket to take it out. To install the new one go to a pawn shop or flea market and buy one just like it that you do not mind grinding on a bit. Take it home and grind a notch in it so you can fit the wire inside and then slightly tighten it down.

The real bear on my car (with SSI's) was getting to the puppy in the first place. Put the car up on jack stands and go through the LH rear wheel well.
