I think you should stick to your guns and get a clarification of the privacy policy and a definition of "team" before completing the survey.
A consultant saved my behind. I ran our 12 person home office like a family, birthday lunches, parties for every holiday, flex time, etc. I tried to make it fun to work there. The consultant said we were too familiar, and it was just a matter of time before someone turned on us big time. On his recommendation I gradually changed a bunch of policies, but not soon enough. Sure enough, someone got their nose out of joint and quit, claimed she was fired, her lawyer came back with a list of "unprofessional behaviors," (having office party when she was on vacation

), but most of them had been eliminated by the new employee policies the consultant recommended.
