My business is a little different than you guys so i don't really run into stuff like that.
I never itemize my materials anyway - beyond a total for each phase (site prep, sod, plantings, irrigation, lighting, mulch) when it's a big enough job that we do installment payments.
Gotta say at this point I'm getting a bit burnt out anyway so I'm getting very choosy about who I work for and what jobs I take on.
My overhead is very tiny so that helps a lot.
