My first thought after reading the bimmer thread was how it might relate to our runs. I decided that it doesn’t.
Our runs are “fun” runs. We may exceed the posted limit at times
but we do not race each other on a fun run. We enjoy being out on a great drive with great cars, like our own, & great company. It’s about comrade.
Heaven forbid one of our own have an accident, but if it happened the rest of us would not split b/c "we couldn’t handle it." Sam’s (SWBSAM) accident is a good example of that.
When setting up a drive my two biggest concerns are that everyone has a
safe and
fun run. If I got to the end of a drive and found out someone behind me had a problem/accident I would be back in a heartbeat, whatever the consequences.
It really pisses me off that those guys left them, even if they were being boneheads.
