What's the drawback with a wasted spark configuration? As long as the non-wasted spark happens at the correct time.
Are there issues with coil charge rates, dwell, or coils heating up, or something I'm missing that makes a wasted spark setup so much less desirable? Or is it just the elegance of sequential that is so seductive?
AFAICT Microsquirt can run 6 cyl wasted spark setup with CNP. Not sure about COP, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why 3wire COP is so different than a CNP setup.
