As for the broken one (Varmint) send it back. They'll give you a new one no questions asked.

I broke mine like that. It's an older one they don't make any more, and I asked if they would fix or replace. On the phone they said replace, I sent it back with a note saying I really liked the tool set on mine, and would rather repair if possible, but replacing would be fine. It came back repaired and sharpened. Carry it everywhere but to bed, great tool, great company.
