Are there issues with coil charge rates, dwell, or coils heating up, or something I'm missing that makes a wasted spark setup so much less desirable? Or is it just the elegance of sequential that is so seductive?
AFAICT Microsquirt can run 6 cyl wasted spark setup with CNP. Not sure about COP, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why 3wire COP is so different than a CNP setup.

I BELIEVE you would still need an ignition module to make it work something like the Bosch 0 227 100 124, or the Quad Spark box that is available from Diyautotune. The biggest negative with EDIS is you do not have control of dwell, and you have a preset rev limiter of 6750, or somewhere in that area. My car would probably have been good up to over 7k, but 6750 is close enough.
