These are not uncommon firearms, there are deals to be had. They are of very good quality, and nobody's giving them away, but I know of a 6" round butt no lock 686 at a local shop for less than $600 out the door. A 6" isn't my choice for carry, and I shoot square butt S&W's much better than round, so not real interested, but while I think that's a good deal, I don't consider it fantastic.
Be patient, you'll find just what you want, at a very reasonable price, right after you make your purchase.
