I was doing the same looking around last year and ended up with a 2007 Cayman S, 54K miles $21K. Had service records. $22K is an OK price, but not a steal. If the IMS stuff keeps you awake at night, go for the 2009 or newer. I'd bet if you take the $22K for this car and add $2K for IMS fix you can get the 2009+ model. By the way, I ended up putting a clutch in after driving it after 6K miles. So be aware, 50K miles is getting into new clutch territory even if it seems good now.
Seems like most agree these need to be driven and they need regular oil changes.
