Ran speedtest.net while switching between the WiFI networks. This is from the MBP on the 2nd floor.
Old WiFi network 1 (AEX on 3rd floor, connected to modem via Powerline): 6.2 Mbps down, 5.9 Mbps up
Old WiFi network 2 (AEX on 1st floor, cabled to modem): 18.5 Mbps down, 6.0 Mbps up
New WiFi network Eero with beacon on stair between 3rd and 2nd floors, beacon on stair between 2nd and 1st floor, and hub on 1st floor cabled to modem: 57.3 Mbps down, 6.2 Mbps up
Hmm. I hadn't realized my old WiFi network had become quite that crappy.
