Colorado has mirrored CA standards for over a decade so it matters to me. I think my signature suggests how I feel about it. I actually have a spare stock engine for my Subaru that I used to install every two years for smog tests. For many years I was still legal because even with 50whp over stock it tested clean with a metal cat. Then they tightened things a bit and I was sol.
I would say because CA is such a large and dominant market that it single handedly drives up the prices of 74-75 about 10% or so.
