Mike, LN now makes an bushing/insert that can be field installed in the third design shaft, with an inner diameter that will accept the field serviceable LN IMS retrofits, including the IMS Solution. So it converts the 06-08 cars to the earlier design:
If you look closely, you can see the bearing is inside an insert. This still requires disassembling the engine for the installation of the bushing, but after that it is field serviceable.
