Lots of great input here. Many thanks to all! I plan on having lots of questions. Yes, I'm on medicare, but also have supplemental insurance. Don't want to be penny wise here, talking my vision. Cindy's family has a history of glaucoma, so on her family's suggestion, we've been going to this M.D. for years. He seems to be highly rated for this surgery.

The multi focus aspect sounds interesting. Ideal pool playing focus would be 2-10 feet. But of course, I want good distance vision for driving. I did post this on a pool site. Most there seem to think going for distance vision and using reading glasses is best.
