I have multifocal lens from cataract surgery. It did not go well, because I had RK in the 90's. It made ghosting from my 'irregular astigmatism' much worse.
I should have done a single focus, in my case. Wish I had known pre-procedure.
Some opthamologists have a scanner that maps surface of the eyes, I would seek one out next time.
The good news is it's simple surgery, and typically results are good.
