The US 76-79 exhaust system especially with the thermo reactors are indeed crappola. The 70s Euro and the US exhaust from 86 onward, not so bad. Just had GHL headers & a Borla passenger out system removed and installed NOS Factory heat exchangers, cross over and J pipe ( I had been hoarding it for about 15 years) with a RarlyL8 passenger out on my 89 930 that previously been on the engine dyno @ 472HP. ( turbo upped to a K28 from a Brumos 934 along with lots of everything else ). Felt the same now as before but a new set of those headers RarlyL8 makes would be even better so those might be next.
