The following story is inspired by a recent PPOT thread/ This will be best enjoyed if you pull up a second PPOT window- with one window to view the pic in real time, and the second pic to read the dialogue to compare to the picture..
The young guy and the girl are former students of the older woman (teacher) who sexually molested the boy when he was 14.
After high school, the young girl and boy (classmates) became a couple, got cocky, and decided to confront the teacher.
The bill the girl is showing the teacher is the "hush" money sum they want from her.
The girl cannot garner the courage to look the teacher in the eyes as she points to the line item total $$$ owed.
The teacher, incredulous at best, is working a low ball offer. She is using her position of senority to intimidate the girl, stating "the girl" could not meet the boy's needs at the time, and the teacher could.
This humiliates the girl, who looks down further, sullen, confirming her fears that the whole ideal of blackmailing the teacher was probably a mistake.
In this moment of doubt, the boy is a total hypocrite. He got to sew his seeds with the teacher, had a great time, yet now is acting the entitled prick. He is OWED in life- so much so, he lets his girlfriend do the talking. He is completely oblivious his girlfiend is getting beaten down by the older teacher. He is too busy acting cool in front of the waitress to realize the downturn of events playing out in front of him.
The guy in the background is MD Holloway, at the very moment he realizes Border Reivers is walking into the restaurant. 
(edit)- the boy also had relations with the waitress, but both are trying stoically to blow it off like nothing happened.
