Richard you need a new dermatologist. A 4 hour wait is unacceptable. That doc just has a power trip.
My dermatologist has an office that should give lessons on how to run a medical practice. They make an appointment, and ask that you show up 15 minutes before the appointment time to sign in and do the paperwork and pay any co-pay and get the insurance issues done. Most of the time I get done with that in 5 or 10 minutes and go to sit down. Within 60 seconds, they call my name and off to a room. The nurse asks the same old questions like do you have any specific issues you want checked. Take off your shirt, and pants and strip to just your underwear, no socks. She has left before the strip show. The doc comes in a minute later and looks me over, usually zapping a couple of spots on my face. Living all those years in Hawaii and no sunscreen has a toll.
He leaves, and I get dressed and go hand the paperwork to the nurse and make an next appointment. I walk out the door usually right at my appointment time.
TGIF everyone.
