The later ones are a bit better, but the earlier you go the worse they seem to me.

The picture above, cool picture, but that car looks halfassed to me.
The front bumper/nose is way to high , you can see the under pan.
Is that a model that is supposed to have a bumper attached to it??
Looks like they forgot to put a front spoiler on that, which obviously for a 356 would look like a joke as they aren't that fast anyway.

I was in the Museum this year, they had a line up of 356'es, all in to much clearcoat..
felt underwhelming up close. There are much nicer bodies from that design period

Now they may have been great to drive compared to other cars in the era. But design wise, bit meh.

I generally don't find many cars from the 45-55 era very "sexy".. The big design movement then was happening in the US , Europe was still licking it's wounds.

The only interesting 356 to me is from Porsches friend, Abarth



Now i don't say you can't have some cool pics with some 356es.. especially outlaw modded cars.. But the original 356'es to me look well, they mostly just are an evolution towards the 904 & 911.
