What most "sales" minded people don't understand, and will never fathom, is that most DIY people don't want, or need thier assistance except for when asked. I get really tired of having to say something to every cheery door greeter that is trying to make eye contact with me.

I just want to buy what's on my list, and leave.....NO ONE will ever talk me into anything else, so just leave me alone until I ask you for something.

Way too many times, I am in a hardware store looking for a particular sized piece that I need for a farm contraption I am imagining, and will DIY build later. I will spend more time, effort, and brain power explaining it to someone, rather than just finding it myself.....like it was said before, STFU, and let me concentrate !
