I will add this to others suggestions although you did not ask for suggestions. If you enjoy your contract work go for it especially if you feel you need more money. If you don't enjoy it and don't need the money then consider as others have said pursue more leisure activities such as rv driving.
A lot depends on your wife and what she likes to do. This is the time to do your bucket list. You may not be completely aligned with your wife's activities but you will work something out. Work at staying healthy.
