Anyone on here had a PE?
Woke up Monday morning frightening short of breath, so badly so that I wound up in the ER. After ruling out a cardiac event, I got a chest CAT scan and the doctor informed me I had a pulmonary embolism.
I’ve had a nasty 3 or so weeks walking like a pirate... badly inflamed varicose veins in my left thigh, one of which developed a blood clot.
As it turns out, a piece broke free and took up residence in my left lung.
Now it’s daily tinzaparin injections and warfarin until my INR gets stable, and waiting until the damn clot dissolves.
Blood thinners for life now, as this is my second serious leg clot.
Crappy start for 2018, but at least I’m still in the right side of the sod.
