I have done that many times when travelling for work. Walk out and try somewhere else. When you are by yourself, it is obvious (or should be) that you are there to eat and to GTFO....
Another thing that gets to me in restaurants is when the server doesn't clear your plates after your meal is finished.
If the bill is brought with the dishes still on the table, the tip automatically is reduced.
