I haven't received any postcards, but I also find that my 2006 BMW X5 appears on the NHTSA page under "Vehicles Affected", but not when using the "Recalls Lookup Tool". I noted this disclaimer on the "Vehicles Affected" page:

"NOTE: This list is subject to change and does not guarantee that any specific vehicle is or is not included in any of the Takata recalls. Vehicle owners are urged to use NHTSA’s Recalls Lookup Tool to check their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for any open recalls, including Takata recalls."

I concluded that my specific vehicle is not included on the recall list even though if falls within the overall category of vehicles listed on the "Affected" page. I have not received any postcards or other notifications and the fact that you have may be a function of Honda being proactive and mailing out the same warning that is posted on the NHTSA page, "Vehicles Affected." If your VIN is also included on the postcard, then I would conclude that the vehicle is affected, regardless of what the "Recalls Lookup Tool" says.

EDIT: I just went back to the NHTSA site and read more fully. Apparently, Honda is one of the vehicles considered under the "Critical Warning" recall and has top priority in the recall. That may be why you receive the postcards. Still, it would seem that your VIN would appear in the Lookup Tool database.

Personally, I am not comfortable in my situation, and I will continue to monitor the Lookup Tool site to see if my VIN stays clean. From today's search, it is noted on the site that the recalls are updated as of Jan. 15, 2018, which is today's date.
