I am installing a Subaru STi engine that was built up to run Pikes Peak into my Super Beetle convertible I have had for 30 years. I have a 930 trans that I now hope is sold that I was going to use in the conversion. After looking at gears for the 930 and the high cost, I went ahead and purchased a 997 GT3 transmission on Rennlist. I obviously am already doing a lot of fabrication work so will modify the rear tunnel for the longer trans. I highly recommend finding a GT3 trans before spending a lot on regearing a 930. My plan is to take it to Rennsport in September.
