that's not what I have but the same idea.
they are THE bomb!!

mine has a long rod that slides thru the motor. the rod has the spring inside. then on each end of the rod there are cables that run down to the bottom of the door.
4 screws mount it to the wall, plug it in and you are done!!

my door also has the safety sensor in the bottom of the door. no "beams" or other electronics to mount.
