They had batteries for sure, some suspect that they were used for religious magic tricks of some kind. Artificial light? I've not seen anything on it until today, see video far below.

Discovered in the 1930s, the urn dated back to sometime between 250 B.C. and A.D. 250, long before modern batteries were invented in the 19th century. The artifact contained a copper pipe with an iron rod in its center - which could've served as the battery's electrodes - and had an asphalt cork at the top. Still inside the urn was the residue of an acidic liquid that could've provided the electrolyte element to bring the battery to life.

...............at the temple of Hathor at Dendera, you can find some reliefs that resemble very closely of a modern electric bulb. The picture of the relief not only shows the bulb and the filament inside it, but also shows a long wire connected to the base of the bulb.

The “Dendera light” is a term used to describe a supposed ancient Egyptian electrical lighting technology depicted on three stone reliefs (one single and a double representation) in the Hathor temple at the Dendera Temple complex located in Egypt.

The sculpture became notable among fringe historians because of the resemblance of the motifs to some modern electrical lighting systems. Mainstream Egyptologists take the view that it is a typical set of symbolic images from Egyptian mythology.

Fringe view
In contrast to the mainstream interpretation, there is a fringe hypothesis according to which the reliefs depict Ancient Egyptian electrical technology, based on comparison to similar modern devices (such as Geissler tubes, Crookes tubes, and arc lamps)
