What I do know is that she is addicted. She goes to the pain center when ever they require, whether she is out or not, to have prescriptions renewed. They monitor her use from a far, has to pee in a cup, etc..., but don't know if she has an excess amount for future use. She worries when the count is low, and schedules another appointment. Addict.

So sorry for you, and your SO, this is a real struggle to admit (for you, and her), that someone has a problem. I too, had a really bad car accident in 2013, and took only 2 pills for 17 broken bones with nothing since (6 months off work leaning to walk again). I do believe it IS a psycological condition where the drugs create the need, and further the implied pain beyond the real pain.
