I got a 3500 by not reading the specs carefully. I have used it on 3.2 911, two 944s and my 928.

all of my cars are <3500lb, so went with that as it was on sale and less expensive than the 5000. if I plan to get under the car insert jack stands under the QJ for added safety. unlike this pic where I was just pulling the wheels.

but it is too short so I lay a 2x8 on top to extend just enough to get the rubber blocks lined up on lift points. planning to weld extensions on at some point when I have time.

problem that creates is having to use pads to drive the lowered cars on to get high enough to insert the rubber blocks.

it works.... but if I had it to do over would get the 5000 model.
