I have the 5000 for my 3.2 and as a previous post stated it fits between the wheels. with the stock 16" Fuchs it was tight but not a problem. I've since mounted 17" wheels/tires and the small increase in overall diameter has been tricky.
Before raising, I had the lift all the way against the back tire. Once the car was several inches off the ground, the front of the lift was pressing against the front tire. It wasn't terrible but not something I was willing to accept. After messing around with no fix (thought I was losing my mind since this never happened before) I lifted the car enough to get a 2" x 6" block under each tire - then lowered the lift - slid them back a couple inches then raised the car again with no front tire touching issues. This could all be user error as I was doing this late at night after a long day - so I could've been the problem the whole time. Didn't seem like it then, however.
