No the whole damn thing is the media's fault, then Trump stirred the pot that had been taken off the burner already a year ago. Trump made his SOB comments for pure effect....and it worked
If you don't like the NFL and fall for the media/Trump bs, then don't watch and boycott those that run the ads...I just tune out the bs....that's all. My GF (rip), was a WWII vet, and a deeply religious man in later life...though patriotic, his allegiance was towards God...that superceeded his allegiance towards a "flag"....
He was a mountain of a man, and a brawler in his youth....I don't judge others' patriotism by symbollic gestures....he left 4 small children at home and served...came home and had 3 more....
His perspective (though I don't share it) was his....but has shaped my perspective on this...
