Yep, no plumbing to bother with, just a bucket for water and an outhouse. No electrical gadgets to fiddle with when electricity was a dream. Telephones were only in the movies and it took several hours on a horse to get into town so no movies to watch. No cars to mess with, just saddle up the horse or hitch it to the wagon and head off. No grocery stores to have to wait in line to check out. No antibiotics to buy, so if you got stuck and a puncture wound with a metal object tetanus just killed ya. Polio killed or crippled millions. The flu 100 years ago killed 4% of all the people world wide between 50 and 100 million people.
