I was thinking the same thing, but the website states it lasts for 50 seconds versus 11 seconds for the traditional one shown in the photo. The Element Fire extinguisher is rated for A-B-C-K (Wood-Electrical-Oil-Grease) not for Class D fires (metals/magnesium).

I have one of the larger traditional fire extinguishers in my car, NOT rated to extinguish metals, my purpose is to get the flames down long enough to allow any passengers and myself to GET OUT and AWAY.

I’m researching metal fire extinguishers now (Class D)

But you gotta love the size of the Element unit.
