I’ve been thinking about getting a full suspension MTB to replace my old hardtail since I road a buddy’s a while back. I thought about buying one of the new Trek or Specialized XC carbon bikes but didn’t want to drop $4k so during a weak moment over the Christmas holiday I bought a used Trek aluminum Top Fuel frame. I figured I could use some parts off my hardtail to keep costs down but things tumbled out of control with Fox Factory fork and shock, Shimano XTR components and a pair of custom Wheel Builders wheels.
