Bank transfers only protect you if your selling. They do nothing to protect you from the car being a POS.
As mentioned ask someone here to do a PPI first for you here. If you like what they say buy them dinner Friday night when you fly in to pick up the car.

^^^^ Spot on...but instead of cash, I'd carry a major banks' cashiers check that's open on Sat. in the sellers location...complete the deal in the bank for the seller's protection, so there is no doubt the check is legit...it MUST be the same bank on both ends....damn crooks
