Yeah racing VW's is fun but compared to drag racing my bug or racing my 911...drag racing isnt about turning or braking...
I should have started racing 911's years ago. In a typical drag racing year the average VW engine and trans is out often.
The 911 seems a lot more rugged, it was designed for racing.
I'd rather go 135mph every lap in my 911 than 110 for a second in my old VW.
