Foles story is one of redemption.
Buzz Bissinger, "Friday Nights Lights" author & Vanity Fair writer, wrote an extremely derogatory magazine article after Foles breakout 2013 season, stating Foles would never be the leader a superbowl team needs. Claimed he was too soft. (I am waiting to see Bissinger eat those words.)
Foles was then traded to St. Louis by the pompous Chip Kelly, cast aside by the offensively system-less Jeff Fisher. Picked up by Reed in KC for 1yr then re-signed by the brilliant GM Roseman (I would love to hear his logic in signing Foles as back-up and cutting 2016 back-up Daniels) completing the journey back to Philly.
Two dreadful games against Oakland and Dallas had Philly Fans panicked at our prospects with Foles. Credit Pederson he took responsibility for leading the team. The rest was three very well coached games, quarterbacked by a quietly confident and devote man.
Now as far as the future, who knows; Foles has completed this journey. It is hard to imagine for such a peaceful man to feel the ego need to ask for a trade to be a starter.
