The G Body 911 most telegenic car of all time

Got to thinking just how many BIG TIME motion pictures these cars have been featured in and all the stars that drove them.

In the 80s the silver screen loved these cars.

I remember seeing tequila sunrise in the movie theater as a kid and how the car was damn cool even though you couldn’t really see much of it. Only a 911 could have that kind of charisma.

Against all odds the SC convertible was damn cool.

Phil Collins did a music video back in 80s that featured a 911.

There were movies like “No mans land” that lacked cinematic quality but still had some cool 911s to the point its almost worth watching it solely for that..

Where am I going with this..

Porsche in the 80s was so damn cool. I mean seriously cool to a almost unimaginable point by today’s standards.

They were in fact cooler and more respected than even ferrari..

If you’re not old enough to have lived back in the “golden era” you simply cannot image what is was to drive a porsche in the 80s and if it was a 911.. you had coolest car money could buy. Period.

Those days are LONG GONE.

Anyhow just remembering the golden era of the 911. Hugo Boss ads, movie,tv,music videos those were the days. When porsche was still porsche.

Never again.
