Something similar happened to us a couple months ago. Received a very small package from Macy's NY. I hadn't ordered anything from them. Opened it and saw that it was one part of a split shipment, paid for with my credit card. My package was the $18 part. The other shipment was $700, shoes enroute to another address. Called Macys and notified them I didn't authorize and then called my credit card co. Funny, Macys said that they could not turn off the 2nd shipment even though it was a week out.
CC co said that the card was probably compromised some time ago, but definitely not recently Got my new card the very next day.
