Hi all, I am currently restoring an 87 944 NA. Something often over looked is the brake booster. Here are steps to get it looking factory fresh. If interested.
1. Remove air box and AFM.
2. Remove intake manifold.
3. If possible remove brake fluid reservoir. If not remove lid and push to the side.
4. Remove peeling paint and clean surface.

5. Mask area off the surounding area do not for get the part sticker on top *if it has not come off. Then primer the whole booster.

6. You can chose to go Gloss, Flat or Matte finish paint. I went gloss Black.

6. Replace brake master seals if needed and reinstall reservoir.

I did 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. I recommend restolem paint, does a great job
Lastly install the intake, AFM and air box.
I hope this helps someone out to freshen up their brake booster.
