Go to youtube and search for streets of willow and 911. You should be able to become familiar with the course, virtually, before you arrive. That will help tremendously.
I always bring a chair and an umbrella.
I have the clear plastic stick on protection for my H-4s. I don't have to tape my lights. It's kind of like the clear bra stuff, but thicker.

Remember it isn't a race. Take your time, start off at a comfortable speed and be safe. Learn the course and the correct line, braking and turn in points. And have fun.
