Back in the 1980s the director of Porsche AG Helmuth Bott came to Oklahoma City to talk to War Bonnet Tech. He is the father of the 959 and had a 959 as his company car daily driver.
He mentioned that he often drove the 959, and many other exotic Porsches around and no one even noticed the cars or paid attention.
He had one car that was his personal toy, an Model T Ford. When he drove it he received lots of attention and people waved and whistled. No doubt the audience is a big part of what gets noticed.
I do have to admit the 3.2 911 Carrera is a beautiful car, but I might be just ever so slightly prejudiced.
