Dumbest. Holiday. Ever.
I was thinking about this the other day as my kids are making valentines for their classmates (nice idea), but why do we teach kids to buy into this whole thing when the reality is if we tried anything similar in the workplace we'd likely have mace shot in our eyes, get tazered, brought up on harassment charges and probably sacked?
Do the safe thing instead of a card, flowers or chocolates which might "trigger" someone or cross some social line - tell someone you like, "it'd make me so happy to be able to share my V.D. with you". Much more benign.
