A bunch of us used to make the trek from the PNW to Mr. Lee's ranch outside of Forsyth, MT for the annual Quigley shoot. Still held every year on Fathers' Day weekend, it's billed as "the biggest rifle shooting event in Eastern Montana since the Custer massacre".

Lonely with Kirk Douglas is a modern western... another modern life closing in. Not a real fav of mine.
Dalton Trumbo did this and Spartcus for Kirk Douglas....Kubrick directed Spartcus and Paths Of Glory with Kirk Douglas.
Saw Paths in the theater when it came in the late 50's...didn't like it but later as an adult it was good...Aldolph Menjou role is memorable.
