For instance, if we were discussing detective movies, The Long Goodbye would be a top ten movie, too, not necessarily for the plot or the pacing, (pretty much a standard Marlowe whodunnit) but because of the direction.
And if you're gonna mention Tom Horn, might as well throw in "Judge Roy Bean", too. Both pretty mediocre movies, but made better by dint of a great actor in the leading role....

Judge Roy Bean had some pretty spiffy dialogue. Quite memorable I dare say, what.
