I personally like/prefer the look of the early-70s Ginther E Production SCCA racers. Somewhat similar to the above, Ginther tastefully bulged the rear fenders to encompass bigger rear meats while leaving the front alone.
That's what I'd do for an engine in the 150-190 whp or so range.
