I feel the flames coming already...

I am considering a EFI/TB setup and wonder if the cable-linkage-pushrod assembly could be replaced by a sensor on the pedal (or nearabout and an actuator between the throttle bodies?

I see that some ECU's have this incorporated into the box but i was thinking of a stand alone system that is independent of the box
