How old is your Sheridan, Vash? The reason I ask is because the last generation, that were identical to the Benjamins, have the "long" receiver that Tim can machine with dovetail grooves to accept .22 scope mounts. I had him do this on my Benjamin and on my son's Sheridan. He cannot do it on the original style Blue Streaks, but it is a worthwhile upgrade on the new ones, even if you do not plan to put a scope on it at this time. He has to replace the bolt handle with a knob so it will clear a scope as well. Here is my Benjamin with those mods:
