I think the actuators are capable of being faster than your right foot. I have driven an e46 m3 and it has what you would consider pretty immediate throttle response. But seriously, almost every car worth driving (I.e.not a Dodge charger rental car) has had pretty responsive dbw for the last 15 years. All the sportscars and all the exotics. Even the sport bikes have been dbw for a good decade now. Spend a Saturday testing some new rides out at a few local car dealerships and see just how good cars have gotten

I have family that is in law enforcement and they can't say enough bad things about those chargers from that time frame. The crown vics we're loads better.
