BBS RGR vs OEM wheel style 188

Have a 2011 3-series 328i Sedan and am contemplating buying BBS RGR 17 inch, since I just bought Michelin S3+ with size R225/45-Z17, which are mounted on the current OEM wheels (style 188).

This S3+ Michelin tire is 9 inches wide, so would you recommend 8.5 or 9 inch width for the BBS RGR? Too bad the BBS-LM is not available in 17 inch, as that's a nice looking wheel!!!!

The OEM style 188 is supposed to weigh about 21-22 pounds, and the BBS-RGR's are 17 pounds, so about a 5 pound difference. A forum entry on bimmerpost said the real effect of weight loss on handling is essentially 2x the weight of the wheel. If this rule-of-thumb is true, that would be like throwing 10 pounds out for each wheel after going to BBS(?)

Just curious about responses from Pelican, as most of my '68 912 support has been from Pelican.
